I am under 18 years of age. What is the Victim Contact Scheme?

The Victim Contact Scheme (VCS) is for victims of violent and sexual offences where the offender gets a sentence of 12 months or more. In these cases, victims who take part in the VCS can get information and advice about the criminal justice process from a Victim Liaison Officer. This includes being kept informed of key stages of the offender’s sentence.
